Parents, players, volunteers and fans. THANK YOU for a great weekend of basketball. The colleges were in attendance and the players were motivated to make a big impact over the three day event. It was great to see some excellent team ball and watch the colleges make notes right after. We all hope everyone had a great time and learned what it’s going to be like for the whole month of July on the road! Thanks again to all of the volunteers that make the event a success, without everyone chipping in it wouldn’t be possible.

17U Gold – First place Varsity Bronze.
17U Black – First place Varsity Gold Bracket.
This weekend all five Arizona Elite Teams played in the Cactus Slam event held in downtown Phoenix. The 7th Grade team took second place in the Championship 7th Grade Bracket, Great job Ladies! Our 8th graders went 2 – 2 to win the 8th consolation Bracket, way to finish strong girls! Coach Proudfoot and the 15U squad won the Girls JV Silver Bracket in a close game with the Phoenix Flight. The 15U girls are quickly becoming a formidable opponent at the 15U age group, congrats girls and coach Rachel. The 17U Gold team (Hawkins) played great this weekend to finish first in the Girls Varsity Bronze division, winning 28-23 vs. the always strong Arizona Thunder white team. Keep it up girls! Finally, the 17U Black team took the Championship in the top Girls Varsity division, beating a very talented Arizona Thunder Black in the Championship game. Black built upon it’s success in the past two events and looks forward the Spring Showcase in two weeks. Great all around weekend ladies. We want to thank Lawrence Alonzo for scheduling early games on Easter Sunday, allowing teams to celebrate their faith with their families.
